Hu Zhen Kun

Born in Beijing in 1941 and died in 1997.
Studied under the tutelage of Liang Shu-year, specializing in Chinese landscape painting. Graduated from the Beijing Arts and Crafts School in 1962.
Kun was a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a member of the Oriental Art Exchange Association, a member of the Beijing Landscape Painting Research Association and a professional painter of the Beijing Painting Academy.
Several of his works participated in the National Art Exhibition in Beijing and were displayed in Japan, the Soviet Union, the USA, Taiwan and other countries and regions.
His painting Qiushi was selected for the United Nations Peace National Art Exhibition. Autumn Charge Pattern was selected by the Ministry of Culture in the Soviet Union youth contemporary Chinese art exhibition. White Plum Spirit Fragrance was chosen to participate in the China Art Museum and Japan China Contemporary Art Exhibition and the Chinese Art Museum collection.
The Original More Autumn participated in China's Four Seasons art exhibition and won the bronze medal. Northern Silver was entered in the 70th anniversary of the founding of the National Art Exhibition and won the Beijing outstanding works award. In 1991, he held his solo exhibition in Hong Kong, followed by a 1992 solo exhibition in Taiwan.
The Yellow River Shore Monument participated in the National Art Exhibition and won the Beijing outstanding works of art award. 1993 Red Cloud was entered into the first national landscape painting exhibition and won the outstanding works award. In 1994, he held his solo exhibition in Malaysia.
An honourary posthumous exhibition was held in March 2000 for Kun by the Beijing Art Academy.
